Thanks for sharing those good insights. I guess the presence of Facebook and Twitter and other social networking sites is a great help in successful introvert networking. Speaking up at the virtual world is now more preferred than being in social parties and gatherings.

Hi Wendy, That is a great idea, just making the initial connection at the large event then using it later to contact someone. I'm going to check out that eBook myself.
Thanks so much for your comment, and I hope you'll come back to Introvert Zone soon!

Great suggestions. In my experience, it helps to focus on how you can be a resource for others - that calls upon the listening skills that many introverts have in abundance. If I may add to what you wrote in #2, large events don't usually lend themselves to the kind of in-depth conversations introverts prefer. So use them as a way to make the initial connection with someone that you can use as a springboard for a follow-up one-on-one conversation. Just attending the same event, even if you never get to talk to someone there, gives you an opening to send an email saying that you were at the same event but didn't have a chance to talk and requesting an opportunity to do so (explaining why such a conversation might be of interest to the other individual). Your readers might be interested in a free eBook on networking for introverts (especially for those who are in a job search), available on the job seeker web site www.job-hunt.org.
