I work full time on the IT staff for a medium-sized company.  I’m also the mother of two wonderful boys.  I have known since childhood that although I love spending time with my friends and family, I also treasure and need time to be alone. Based on the messages I got from society here in the U.S., I always thought I was “a little weird” for that! A few years ago I found out: no, I’m not weird at all; I’m an introvert! Now that I know that, life makes so much more sense, and I’m able to plan day-to-day life so that I have plenty of time to work with others and spend time with the people I love as well as the necessary time to recharge alone.
